His love for flamenco music came from his grandfather, Manolo Escudero, who was a successful flamenco singer. However, Pablo was never allowed to go to his shows, as his grandfather divorced his grandmother before Pablo was born. Yet still the love for this traditional Andalusian music was in Pablo’s blood. And throughout his life, although flamenco continued to be a dominant factor, it was only when he came to live in La Herradura that circumstances allowed him to become a full-time singer and musician.
Pablo cannot be left out of this La Herradura cultural web magazine, not least because he has a weekly flamenco show in the village. Every Sunday during the winter months at lunch time – during the summer months days and times may vary – you can enjoy a fantastic flamenco show in Restaurant Las Maravillas on the seafront. Pablo and his partner Diana, who has become a great flamenco singer herself, are accompanied by various musicians and dancers. You’ll need to reserve a table in advance as spaces are limited, but what you will get is a wonderful opportunity to experience a flamenco show close up whilst enjoying a delicious, typically Spanish meal!
Pablo’s passion and knowledge about flamenco shines through when you meet him. His impressive voice and enchanting guitar skills take you on a journey into a different world. A world of passion, song, music and dance.
Pablo shares many interesting facts and information both about himself and the flamenco music and dance, (which became such an important part of the Andalusian and to some extent the La Herradura culture), in his story which features in the ‘Reflections from La Herradura’ book.
