Born in the Netherlands, Jeroen Stultiens was introduced to the professional film business at a very young age when he was selected to be part of a group of teenagers invited to create youth television shows for a Dutch broadcasting company. He was only fifteen years old yet every weekend he took the train to Hilversum, which was rather far from where he and his family lived, he played his part in creating television programmes, and then he returned on Sunday nights in order to go to school on Monday morning.

Since then both his studies and his professional life have been about seeing and documenting images through a lens and his impressive career – filled with experiences and very interesting projects – has taken him all over the world.

These days, Jeroen is happily settled in La Herradura where he has set up his own company called Costamundo and he continues to work on television, film, photography, documentary and corporate film projects amongst other things. He recently finished a documentary about the Dutch guitarist Tijs Groen who also lives in La Herradura. This culturally and artistically beautiful documentary which incidentally reveals many magical spots and enchanting shots of La Herradura, will be available online after the summer of 2016 but you can watch the trailer here.

Jeroen is currently working on a series of documentaries called “De Koning van Hispanje” in which Dutch journalist and writer Edwin Winkels takes the viewer on a journey through a different type of Spain via a diverse range of subjects such as food, sports, culture and much more. The series, which is in Dutch, showcases La Herradura in Episode Two.

Jeroen is happy to call La Herradura his home as he feels it is a very special place where the Spanish locals, the Spanish tourists and expats with so many different backgrounds and views on life seem to live in harmony. For him, it’s the perfect base he needs to find the tranquillity and inspiration for many more artistic projects in the future.
