You love your pets; you want them to be happy and healthy? Then you want to make a note of Vet Clinic La Herradura, run by Stefan Kohlrausch.
This is not only an ordinary veterinarian clinic because Stefan, apart from being a qualified veterinarian since 1990, has a qualification as a teacher of iavh in specialised veterinary homeopathy since 1994. He was also accredited as a human natural healing practitioner in 1992 which gives him a really rounded view on all living beings.
So your beloved animal will be in good hands. Stefan has had his own clinic since 1991 but since April 2014 he runs a clinic in La Herradura. He and his wife found La Herradura during a holiday and when the practice in Calle Alhambra 3 (Plaza Nueva) became available they decided to move from Germany to La Herradura.
They have settled in really well and love the village with its friendly people and international feel.
What is homeopathy?
Homeopathy basically means healing without harmful adverse effects. Stefan says: “during more than 23 years of practicing homeopathy I experience daily confirmation of its real and gentle effectiveness in acute as well as chronic cases.”
In modern medicine it is now totally accepted that stress can make people physically ill but the same is the case in animals. Behaviour disorders, due to abuse or incorrect treatment, fear after an accident or grief over a dead master mostly cannot be resolved by allopathic remedies, but homeopathic remedies are able to restore the emotional balance and promote a rapid and long-lasting recovery of your pet.
Stefan explains that in acute cases, like an injury, the treatment (if no surgery intervention is necessary) will be small, sweet homeopathic globules or dilutions instead of injections or antibiotics. But of course Stefan will find the right treatment for your animal and all this in consultation with you. Stefan who actually completed his doctoral thesis on humanoid apes in European zoos, treats all animals, so apart from your dog or cat you can also come to him with reptiles, birds and other pets or wild animals.
In his practice you will also find a pet shop, high quality food and fresh frozen meat and he also offers dog training and haircuts. The clinic is open from Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 11-13 and 18-20, Thursdays from 11-13, Fridays from 18-20 and Saturday from 11-13 but he also works on appointments.
