Christmas is always a special time in Spain. Very different perhaps than in your country of origin. Apart from the Christmas lottery tickets, the first Christmas signs tend to appear somewhat later than in some other northern European countries but when the Christmas lights are lit, usually somewhere near the end of November or the beginning of December we know that the Festivities will start. Nativity scenes in shop windows, raffle baskets full of Christmas products, an intensified appeal to help the less fortunate by various charity organisations and singing in the streets to mention but a few. One of these events is taking place this coming weekend, the 10th of December. You are welcome to experience a very Spanish atmosphere during the ‘Encuentro de Coros’ in the theatre of the Civic Centre. Various choirs will compete. The entrance is free but you are kindly requested to bring some children’s breakfast foodstuffs, such as juices, cookies, cereals, Colacao, etc. which will be handed to Caritas. Start 20.30
