Last weekend was the final of the XXXII Certamen Internacional de Guitarra Clásica Andrés Segovia, again a great success.
For those who were not able to attend the final evening below the names of the winners.
The Cuban guitarist, Ali Arango, has won the prestigious first prize of 10,000 Euros and a special concert guitar built by Granada luthier Aarón García Ruiz, valued at 5,200 Euros, as well as a recital at the Música y Danza de Granada in its 2017 edition.
The second prize of 4,000 Euros, a concert guitar built by La Herradura luthier Stephen Hill, with a value of 3,250 Euros, and a recital at the Festival Internacional de Música y Dana de Úbeda in its 2017 edition 2017 went to the Romanian Mircea Gogoncea.
The third prize, 2,000 Euros and a recital at the Royal economic society of friends of the country in la Real Sociedad Económica de Amigos del País de Jaén was for the Portuguese Joaquim dos Santos.
The special “Leo Brouwer” Andrés Segovia prize of 700 Euros for the best interpretation of the compulsorywork in the second eliminatory test “Estudio sin luz”, by Andrés Segovia, was won by Chinese guitarist Manni Wu.
