Writing class and book talk in La Herradura
You like to write, you’ve written enough to publish a book… now what?
I welcome you to my house and studio where I will talk about my books, about the content, about what made me write those books. I will also explain where I get my inspiration from and how the process of writing works for me. I have become a self-published writer and will give advice on what to do when you have finished your book and how to get your book published. And of course I will also answer questions.
The talk will start at 10.00 and will be for approximately two hours. You will be treated to a drink and a tapa. I will hold this talk once a month on every second Wednesday of the month, starting 17 January. It will be from 17.00 to 18.30. Price is € 7.50 per person. (minimum 2) The address is Calle Real, 25.
If you are interested please reserve your spot as places are limited and send me an email email@example.com or phone me 655211276. (would you like to come with some friends and prefer another day or time? Please let me know and we can set another date.
About my books
I have published six books, Secret Thoughts was my first book and is a collection of quirky, sensual and surreal short stories. My second book, Cheers, is intended to bring awareness about the isolation many partners, children, parents of alcoholics find themselves in and is a collection of real-live stories that will show you the effect alcoholism has on people and society. My third book, Reflections from La Herradura, is about a magical seaside village in southern Spain with the stories of the artists who felt drawn and inspired to the village. I also wrote three books with visualisations and mandalas, that can help people feel more relaxed or more confident about themselves.
Various of my articles have been published in online magazines and I run three blogs, an Art Blog, a Book blog (which at the moment focuses on my book Cheers) and a blog called Spanish adventure.
Three of my books are also available in Spanish and Cheers, is available in English, Spanish, German and Dutch.
Would you like to practice your writing skills?
I will start a writing group in the village of La Herradura. We come together on a weekly basis and discuss the writing we have done the week before. It is a group where we can encourage each other and help through positive feedback. This is not a group to judge others, this is not about being perfect, this is not about spell-checks and perfect grammar (although tips are always welcome and useful) just about getting more fun in writing and getting inspired to write your own stories or even a book.
We will meet at my house in La Herradura, Calle Real, 25 – weather permitting we can sit in the beautiful patio in front of my house – and get those writing skills going. Of course you will get a tea or a coffee with a treat.
Classes will take place on Monday morning starting 15 January.
The fee to attend the class is € 7.50 per person and will be from 10.00 to 13.00.
Are you not here on the starting date? Don’t worry, you can join any time you like and even participate online should you not be able to come one day, as there will be a weekly challenge that you can also do at home.
